Aircraft Transporting Pete Hegseth Required to Touch Down in UK Because of Crack in Windshield

A plane carrying Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was forced to make an emergency landing in the Britain on Wednesday following a fracture was identified in the aircraft's cockpit window, per an official statement which confirmed that all passengers were secure.

"The jet touched down in accordance with established safety measures and all individuals on the flight, such as Pete Hegseth, is unharmed," a spokesperson stated in a public statement.

The secretary was coming back from a short visit to Brussels at the time.

This occurrence isn't the first occasion that a United States armed forces jet transporting a top government figure has experienced mechanical issues.

Earlier this year, a American military jet carrying the US Secretary of State to Munich was compelled to turn back to Washington DC after encountering a mechanical problem.
