Comedian and author David Walliams dropped by publishing house.
Prolific young adult author and comedian David Walliams has parted ways with his longtime publishing house, according to an announcement.
A representative for the publisher commented: "Upon deliberation, and with the guidance of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing additional books by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the decision was reached following an inquiry regarding allegations of questionable actions towards young women.
The firm has not elaborated on the reasons for its decision, stating: "We refrain from speaking about internal matters."
A Prolific Writing Journey
Walliams ranks among Britain's most successful children's authors, having sold in excess of 60 million copies globally in dozens of tongues.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins in 2008.
Several of his books, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into television films.
He has published more than 40 books altogether, encompassing a holiday title called *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins this past October.
Television and Literature
His initial claim to fame came on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE back in 2017 in recognition of his work for philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
This move occurs subsequent to the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO last fall.
