The former president's Family Member Gets Expert Guidance from Golf Legend Woods Prior to Professional Golf First Appearance
The rising star has considerable online presence
Kai Trump can count on multiple well-known cheerleaders when she makes her first LPGA appearance on Thursday.
This teenage golfer, who happens to be related to a former US president, obtained a tournament invitation to play at the Annika competition in Florida.
The former president, an avid golfer, operates multiple golf courses and often plays against his granddaughter.
"He's quite skilled. I can't reveal details but we have competitive games," she stated.
Kai explained that Trump, unable to come, counseled her: "Simply stay calm."
"My grandpa basically suggested to compete and relax," she added.
"To me, he's simply a normal grandpa. He won't be there for the tournament. He's busy with running the country, making him quite busy."
While still amateur, the golfer has participated in just three tournaments recently and holds ranking 461 in the American Junior Golf Association listings.
But she's able to seek guidance from 15-time major champion, romantically involved with Vanessa.
"He represents the greatest golfer in the world," Kai expressed.
"Furthermore, he's a superior human being. He suggested me to compete, relax, following the flow."
She'll challenge several most prominent players in women's golf at the Annika, including world number two the champion, British golfer Hull, professional Thompson and 2023 champion Lilia Vu.
Officials mentioned that Kai's presence helps introduce golf to new audiences, particularly among younger fans.
The social media influencer boasts millions of followers and just introduced her own fashion and living brand.
The competition starts at late afternoon GMT.
